Working in small groups, students write, produce, direct, and edit a short narrative film. Students learn digital cinematography, lens selection, lighting, and sound recording. The 3 -Act narrative-structure is emphasized. 3 lectures, 3 credits Prerequisite: COM-10 6 or by permission by the Academic Department Chair. Student Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand the narrative production process. 2. Write and analyze screenplays and scripts. 3. Understand cinematography & sound recording for film. 4. Make creative and technical choices in support of producing a narrative film. 5. Produce a narrative film. Means of Assessment: Each assessment corresponds to the objectives above. All activities must meet the standards of acceptability according to the instructor. 1. The student will have participated in the creation of a narrative film. 2. The student will have written a script 3. The student will have participated in the script breakdown process. 4. Participation in Class Assignments 5.
